Request account deletion
At this time, Yulo accepts account-deletion requests only by email. Send the request from the email address associated with your Yulo account to support@yulopay.com with the subject “Delete My Yulo Account.”
Include the following so we can locate the correct account:
- Your Yulo username or other account identifier.
- The public wallet address associated with your Yulo account and device.
- A clear statement that you want your Yulo account and associated Yulo-hosted data deleted.
A public wallet address is not a private key and does not by itself authorize transactions. Never send your recovery phrase, private key, password, passcode, full bank-account number, or government identification image. Yulo support will never request your recovery phrase or private key.
Email a deletion request ↗Verification and processing
The public wallet address helps us identify the account but does not, by itself, prove ownership. We may ask you to complete reasonable verification using non-secret account information. We will acknowledge and process a valid request within the period required by applicable law. If information is incomplete or we cannot reasonably verify the account, we may request additional non-secret information.
Information deleted or deidentified
- Yulo account and profile information, subject to legal and security exceptions.
- Private business-profile information, favorites, hosted catalog content, profile images, notification tokens, and other account-linked hosted content not required to be retained.
- Account-linked records that can reasonably be deleted or deidentified without compromising security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other users’ legitimate records.
Information that may remain
- Public blockchain records. Wallet addresses, transfers, transaction hashes, token amounts, timestamps, and smart-contract activity are recorded by decentralized networks and cannot be deleted or changed by Yulo.
- Records Yulo must retain for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, or enforcement, retained only for the necessary period.
- Backup copies for a limited period until overwritten through normal backup cycles.
- Information controlled by independent third parties, including app stores, blockchain infrastructure, ramp providers, identity-verification providers, banks, or card providers. Contact those providers under their policies.
- Information another user independently retains, such as their own transaction history, receipt, contact, or support record.
Effect on your self-custodial wallet
Deleting your Yulo account removes access to Yulo-hosted account features; it does not erase or transfer digital assets and does not invalidate your blockchain private key. Before deletion, securely back up your recovery phrase and confirm you can access your wallet using compatible self-custodial software. Yulo does not possess your recovery phrase and cannot recover the wallet after deletion or device loss.
Cancel subscriptions separately
Deleting your Yulo account may not automatically cancel a subscription billed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel through the applicable store’s subscription settings to prevent future renewals, subject to store rules.
